TIME'S SLIPPING, Ancient Greek Sandal, Shoe sculpture
The artwork TIME'S SLIPPING was inspired by (a replica of) ancient 2000 year old Greek Sandals. Anne chased the copper sandals in the old artisan way, on an anvil with several hammers and a bold hot flame, and brought history back to life.
The title TIME’S SLIPPING refers to time and antiquity, and to ‘slip’ and ‘slippers’. For Anne this play on words is an urge to pick the day: another way of saying ‘Carpe Diem’.
Anne gave the Sandals a beautiful natural curving in the sole, as a footprint in the sand. Colors of the copper go from brownish red and light copper tone, to dark grey as a result of the heating.
The right sandal is signed ANNE KLEIN H. and bears the year 2019. The left Sandal reads TIME’S SLIPPING.

Easy mounting to the wall because of a little hole in the sole: a single nail will be sufficient. But the shoes will also make a great standing sculpture.

Shipping from Spain
Shipping: Ready-to-ship art works: estimated arrival within 10-20 days (depending on destination) from purchase date, so after your payment has cleared to our account. Made-to-order art works: estimated arrival 4 weeks from purchase date, depending on production of the art work.
Larger and heavier art pieces will take longer due to customs and paperwork.
We usually ship our art works by registered mail (larger and heavier packages with Economy mail with insurance), from Seville, Spain, by Spanish Postal Services. In other cases you'll be notified before hand.
You'll get the tracking number by e-mail.
